The causative agents of community-acquired pneumonia  are more than 100 microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa). 

Most cases of the disease are caused mainly by "pneumococci", "mycoplasma" and "chlamydia", "hemophilus bacillus", "respiratory viruses", "enterobacteria", "Staphylococcus aureus".

Pathogens:

1. Pneumococcus is the most frequent causative agent, it accounts for up to 30-50% of cases of community-acquired pneumonia; 
2. With a mild course of community-acquired pneumonia, mycoplasma and chlamydia are relevant - 20-30%. 
3. Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is more often associated with the development of  community-acquired pneumonia in the elderly, intravenous drug addicts, on the background or after the flu;
